Presentation:

The aim of the researches carried out by the team is the mathematical modelling of various processes encountered in environmental and life sciences, the study of qualitative behavior of models and the development of computing programmes able to offer quantitative responses to real situations. The basic aspects of the mathematical research consist in the approach of the problems from the semigroupal and variational perspectives, in order to prove existence, uniqueness and other properties of the solutions of the mathematical models. Inverse problems, control and optimization problems, qualitative study of delay differential equation (stabilty and bifurcations of solutions), parameter estimations, represent some other purposes of the group activity. Numerical methods, algoritms, computer codes and numerical simulations naturally end the research carried on within this group.
